Parent Health Testing
At Adobe Royal Cavaliers, the health and long term wellbeing of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed is extremely important to us. Before being included in our breeding program, our dogs undergo recommended health screenings to help reduce the risk of inherited conditions known to occur within the breed.
Both parents of this litter have been health tested through OFA and appropriate genetic screening.
The following evaluations have been completed:
• Patellar Luxation (PL) evaluation
• Cardiac examination for heart health
• Eye examination by a veterinary ophthalmologist
• Episodic Falling (EF) genetic test
• Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Dry Eye Curly Coat Syndrome (CKCSID) genetic test
These tests help ensure that our breeding dogs meet health standards and support responsible breeding practices.
We believe transparency is important and are happy to discuss health testing and results with prospective families who are interested in learning more about our dogs and program.
